Cruising Grounds of the Great Bear
Rainforest:
From the
inlets, fjords, salmon streams and old
growth forests of the coast mountain
range, to the rugged islets, remote
lagoons and white sand beaches of the
outer coast, this is an ideal cruising
destination that offers some of the finest
and diverse scenery in Canada.
Sailing charters conveniently depart from
Bella Coola, located deep within BC's
Great Bear Rainforest. Traveling these
waters is a dream-like experience. Imagine
sailing through dramatic, seemingly
endless fjords and cruising by glacier
capped mountains that rise thousands of
feet straight up from the water's edge.
The fjords and long inlets provide
exciting sailing opportunities.
Next, head to Hakai on the outer coast.
The area's expansive maze of islands,
inlets, coves and secret lagoons makes a
striking contrast to the fjords of the
inside passage. Few areas of the world can
match the wealth of wildlife in the Great
Bear Rain Forest. Seals, whales, wolves,
grizzly bears, black bears and eagles can
all be seen - possibly in just one day!
There is so much to see and experience
here on the Discovery
Coast, charterers
can easily spend weeks and even months
exploring this wild and scenic paradise.

the Central Coast can be found at Roscoe

seen here roaming the shores and grassy
meadows below a two thousand foot
